Moving from an older Mermaid app

Atlassian ends support for apps built on the older Connect platform on 31 January 2027. If your current Mermaid macro comes from a Connect app, switching takes a few minutes per page:

Install Mermaid Diagrams by Bitwerf from the Atlassian Marketplace.
Open the page, edit the old macro and copy its Mermaid text.
Type /mermaid, paste the text into the new editor and click Save.
Delete the old macro and publish the page.

Questions

Will my existing Mermaid text work?

Yes. Paste the same Mermaid text into the new macro. The syntax is standard Mermaid.

Does it work in dark mode?

Yes. The Auto theme follows the Confluence setting.

What happens when Connect support ends?

Atlassian ends support for Connect apps on 31 January 2027. Mermaid Diagrams by Bitwerf is built on Forge, the platform Atlassian supports going forward.
