Moving from an older LaTeX app

Atlassian ends support for apps built on the older Connect platform on 31 January 2027. If your current LaTeX macro comes from a Connect app, switching takes a few minutes per page:

1. Install LaTeX Math Equations by Bitwerf from the Atlassian Marketplace.
2. Open the page, edit the old macro and copy its LaTeX text.
3. Type /latex, paste the text into the new editor and click Save.
4. Delete the old macro and publish the page.

Can I paste my existing LaTeX?

Yes. Standard LaTeX math (as supported by KaTeX) works as is.

Does it support inline formulas?

Yes. There is a separate inline macro that sits in a line of text.

What happens when Connect support ends?

Atlassian ends support for Connect apps on 31 January 2027. LaTeX Math Equations by Bitwerf is built on Forge, the platform Atlassian supports going forward.
